Masis Staffing Solutions Client, a leader in the manufacturing and marketing of adhesives and sealants is currently seeking experienced Environmental Compliance Manager.
Summary:
This position is responsible for the administration of the regulatory compliance in the manufacturing facilities for two locations (MA and FL). Candidate will work in conjunction with the Health and Safety Manager to contribute to a safe work environment.

ESSENTIAL
Responsibilities:
Keeps up to date on compliance issues concerning local, state, and national regulations and implements the appropriate policies and procedures. Conducts audits to ensure that organization and government standards on environmental health and safety are met. Provides support to management by keeping them informed thus allowing sound business decisions.

Oversees the analysis and evaluation of air, water, and land systems to determine if pollutants are present and directs the implementation of appropriate corrective action, if necessary. Evaluates operations and makes recommendations to reduce waste or pollution.

Appropriates and analyzes data for the submission of reports to maintain compliance with FM, NFPA, DOT, OSHA, DEP, Title-V, Air Registration, Hazardous Waste (LQG), SARA 312/311 Tier II, South Coast AQMD (Product Reports), Waste Water Discharge, SWPPP, SARA 313 (TRI), TURP, MACT 5H, MACT 4F, other MACT as Needed, GHG, RAO and EPA regulations.

Manages the flow of ISO documentation, DOT descriptions and the MSDS database.

Evaluates the safety, health and environmental needs of the facility by analyzing data based on good engineering practices, drawing conclusions, and rendering appropriate decisions. Joins the emergency response team and responds to in-house emergencies.

Provides guidance and counsel to employees concerning regulatory compliance and proper work procedures and the handling of chemicals. Trains personnel to follow safe work habits and procedures and ensures employees' understanding through tests and audits.

Evaluates products and their associated chemicals so that they can be manufactured, transported, used and disposed of safely.

Advises customers concerning the safe handling, transportation and disposal of chemical products. Supports marketing by providing literature, regulatory direction and technical consultation.

In conjunction with the Health and Safety Manager, develops and adheres to the EH&S budget.

Promotes, supports and adheres to all safety, environmental and quality related policies and procedures.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
B.S. degree in Environmental Science, Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Chemistry, Biology or related field.
7-10 years of relevant experience.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
Master's degree preferred
24-hr HAZWOPER Training
8-hr RCRA
TURP Certification (Required or ability to obtain)
CHMM

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
